So many exciting things have happened over the past six weeks or so.  There's obviously a lot going on in my life, but I would have never guessed it would have gotten so hectic so quickly.

  •  First, my sister had her sweet precious baby boy five and a half weeks early.  Praise the Lord he is all right now, though we lovingly call him Lucky because he has had two near death experiences thus far.  We had a Sip and Sea shower for him yesterday, and I'll add photos later to show the incredible job my mom, grandmother, and oldest sister, Jessica, did on the food and decor.
  • Matt and I are three short weeks away from the foundation being laid for our house!  I try my best not to wish away the days, but I cannot wait until August when we're in our brand new home!
  • I'm still holding onto a steady 4.0 in my MAT and although it is at times killing other parts of my life, I'm learning so much.  I have a great group of teachers who are modeling for me what kind of teacher to be.  I can't wait to have a classroom of my own and begin my journey as a teacher.
  • I have two weeks off from school, and I've really enjoyed spending quality time with Matt and friends, something I don't get to do as often as I'd like.
  • Hubs and I will be heading to Jamaica in two weeks with some of our best friends for our anniversary trip.  I cannot wait!  Though, I should cut back on the sweets so getting in a bathing suit isn't completely embarrassing.
  • I have some (potentially) great news to share in a couple of weeks, but I don't want to jinx it yet, so here's to trying to hold out!
  • I love my current job.  Customer service can be frustrating at times, but all in all, I like solving problems and that's what my job is all about.  Recently, I cleaned off my desk and it made me feel like a new person.  I feel so much more productive simply because it's clean.  Maybe I should work on that apartment when I get home...
That's all for now,

I'm a wife, student, sister, aunt, and daughter.  I'm not a teacher yet, but I will be soon.  I'm 24 years old and I got married not even a year ago to the love of my life and my best friend. I've been out of college for a few years, and my undergrad was in business management.  I was content where I was, but that wasn't enough for me.  That paired with my fifty minute commute became old, and I wanted a new job - no, a new career.  For so long people told me I would make a great teacher and I would just laugh it off.  However, I truly felt God call me to the profession.  I should be student teaching by Spring of 2014, and I am so excited about it.

Needless to say, I am extremely busy these days working full time, going to class three nights a week after work, being a newlywed, and building a house (yes, so excited!) all at once.  I'm so excited for what the future holds and nothing is slowing this girl down. =)

Sincerely,

The Flexible Student
